About Us        Educational Resource Center (ERC)

As one of the Education Office units of Al- Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut, Educational Resource Center (ERC) provides support to the process that leads future generation to acquire the knowledge and skills they need in the 21^st century environment. We attempt to enhance the implementation of high quality instructional processes. Hence, the ERC assists and supports all educators in their continuous endeavor to develop professionally.

Unit Role Description and Responsibilities:

The purpose of Al- Makassed Educational Resource Center is to contribute in the development of high standards learning by:

• Providing teachers with meaningful and focused professional development opportunities.
• Providing teachers with pedagogically suitable methodologies to match their needs and learning environment.
• Providing teachers with pedagogically effective digital learning opportunities that pertains to the benefits of instructional technology in education.
• Providing educational leaders and administrators with professional development trainings to support them and target their needs in any position they are assigned to in their educational firms.
• Providing online and in person professional development trainings to ensure reaching out to a vast number of educators with various interest and needs.
• Initiating online conferences to share experiences with the educational community at large, in and outside Lebanon.
