In order to meet the needs of 21st century learners, Al Makassed SAWA Unit, initiated the “Advocacy Program”. Through this program which is a prolongation of the counseling program mission, students meet in groups/class with adults’ mentors to work on self-esteem and developmental issues. The key of the advocacy program is to foster students’ personal growth, promote their engagement at school, and build a relationship of trust with teachers and staff. Advocacy sessions are devoted to learning and practicing valuable life skills to help students achieve their utmost potential and become responsible citizens.
